wow..I have slacked off on my blog big time!

We have had a very cold and snowy winter! You can see below in the pic! I have been staying inside a lot and not venturing out other than to SHOVEL the snow, get my mail and/or stock up on more groceries and supplies before the next big snow storm hits.

You would think I would be more creative during this time but I have to say I have not been all that creative for some reason. I am really enjoying watching Korean dramas right now and reading and well, just other things. I sometimes do a little artwork ....as I try to do something every day but I have not even gone out and done that very often. I have tried to keep up in my art journals. I always enjoy working on those.

Otherwise...here is a glimpse of what we have been seeing the past couple of months. I love the snow and winter but it has been exceptionally cold and very snowy!

Right now though we have had a couple days of warm weather, almost spring-like and the snow is almost all melted and you can actually see the grass again! I know spring is right around the corner. I cannot believe this is the last week in February 2014 already!

been so hot I am thinking of fall and winter...snow...snow...cool snow......

we have gotten a lot of snow......with more on the way tomorrow!

I love winter...I love snow....we have been getting a lot lately and more will be following soon! We were on a level 3 snow emergency until yesterday so even if we wanted to go anywhere we would not have been able to. Today we are down to a level 1...just in time to stock up on a few more supplies and run a few errands. Here is some pics of the snow we have now......after shoveling out.

snowing like crazy here.....we are under a Level 1 Snow emergency so far!

I don't think you can see us anymore on the map.

I went out and cleared off a path to the bird feeder.....and a spot on the ground for the birds to sit and eat. I even cleared off a spot under the bushes for them to sit and eat or be on grass....and I made a path for the squirrels to come over to eat. I gave them fresh water. I am sure the neighbors by now think I have lost my mind.

Noah and I went out front and shoveled off the drive and walk by the front door. I then put salt down. I also cleared off the road by the mailbox so the mailman can drive up. It is still snowing and I was going to wait until it was completely over.....but decided since I was out....and the snow was like powder.....I could get all that done pretty quickly with no effort and I was right. Not really too much of a workout. AND bundled up it did not really feel as cold as they say it is.

Back to work for me. I am way behind.

to help beat the heat of summer........

We have had a lot of snow this weekend.....

It started early Saturday morning....and did not let up till Sunday afternoon.....here are a few shots out my front door and window to the backyard.








I have been fighting a half migraine all day. This weather made me want to roast a turkey so I did. I thawed it out last night and enjoyed it today! WOW was it so good and juicy!

Tomorrow Noah's school is on at least a 2-hour delay and they may end up canceling. It is to only be about 14 degrees and windy tonight so that means drifting snow out on the roads in the country where the buses have to drive...so he may get a day off yet.

SNOW DAY- December 5, 2007....first day school closed due to the snow!

it was beautiful....it is beautiful.....very cold today....only 7 degrees......with an expected HIGH of 28! F-R-I-G-I-D!!!

I love waking up after a snowfall. Yesterday I woke up right before 4:00 a.m. to get up for work and I glanced over at the window and saw all this light ...almost like it was daylight. At 4:00 a.m. I knew this was not possible so I KNEW IT HAD SNOWED!!!! It was very white outside! I climbed out from underneath my cozy, warm flannel sheets and looked outside and it was a winter wonderland. On days such as that I love to climb BACK into bed......and snuggle up! I am not sure what there is about it.....but it seems much more peaceful. The air smells like snow......the sheets feel warmer and cozier....and I am sure it all reminds me of something from childhood. I LOVE the snow and wintertime. I love to watch it snow. I love to be outside SMELLING the snow.....I love to walk in the snow....I love to play in the snow...I love to SHOVEL snow.....

I guess this would make me officially weird to most everyone else then.
