Swelling down even more today. That is good!

Made banana nut muffins for breakfast.....BBQ chicken for lunch in the crock pot with mashed potatoes and peas and homemade bread.

Have tuna salad in the fridge for supper if anyone gets hungry.

HOT today but they say it will get even hotter. I personally like it a little COOLER.

I have so much to do but have NOT done anything I should be doing all day today. Do you ever get like that>>>???

Friday, June 17, 2005

Well I just can't eat salty things often and I normally don't cause I am not a big salt fan! I did have some party mix for a couple of days and it was SOOOO salty. BIG mistake. My feet and ankles really swelled up for a couple of days especially since I could not put my feet up for the past couple of days to take any breaks.

SO....tonight they are almost back to normal thankfully. My hands still feel a bit tight.

I am drinking water like crazy which I know will eventually help.

SUPER WINDY tonight>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I need to go pull up my blinds outside on the balcony.

Also starting another blog at if anyone wants to check it out sometime.

Not a lot new. Have TONS to do and little time to do it in. Same ole story I know.

MORE LATER............

Feeling better but super tired today! I overslept and still have not been able to sit down and do any work. I will try to do some later I guess.

Anyway...loads of laundry being done as I write. Noah is recording. Keith went to get sandwiches. A batch of chocolate chip cookies just came out of the oven. I got my shower today.

And all is well in our world.

MOOD: feel puny

I just ate and now feel like I could PUKE! My stomach sometimes is really weird. Hopefully this will improve as the day goes on.

I came home from work (to do MORE work) but got sidetracked online. I still have not gotten back to it but I will this afternoon I think as Noah has been pretty much occupied himself in his room and keeps himself busy.

Gives me more free time than I am used to....but I have way too much to try to do in my s0-called free time and never get much actually accomplished.

AND I just realized how terribly boring this post is!

I am drawing a blank..............

The Picture Below Says it ALL!!!
Image hosted by
Mood: Kind of depressed for some reason

My grandma had back surgery today. I wish I lived closer to let her stay at home but I could help her out. I don't trust her one son who is always drugged up these days. You would think with all the crap he has been through and put everyone else through his entire life he would have learned something by now...but NO. ...he has not and probably never will by the looks of it.

SO....IF grandma goes to stay at my mom and dad's house I hope and pray someone can be at her house other than Mike and make sure it stays safe and all her stuff does not come up missing or be ruined. Like her car being wrecked from a doped up MIKE!

Otherwise, grandma never says anything bad to Mike I know of. I do know she continues to pray for him and ask others to pray for him (though she says she doubts it will do any good). So far it hasn't. But I also know she does not trust him and wonders if he will break into her home while she is not around or use her car and possibly wreck it, etc. She said he has broken into her home before. Can you imagine having YOUR OWN SON break into your home? Brother.

Every family has some oddballs in it I guess. Our family has a few...haha. I may even be considered ONE OF THEM..ahahaha.

Thought for the day:

What time of day do you start to hear the birds sing in the mornings? Are you even UP?

A Day Without Rain
Recipe for Caramel Sticky Rolls: (SUPER EASY AND OH SO GOOD!!)

Pecan Breakfast Ring

16 Frozen dinner roll balls of dough (they are in the freezer case with the ready to bake breads)
1 small package of Butterscotch Pudding (NOT INSTANT)
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1 cup of Pecans chopped or whole however you wish. I have also used English walnuts
1 Stick of butter or margarine

The night before you plan on serving it:

Spray a bundt pan with Pam, if using an angel food cake pan, make sure it isn't in two pieces or the juice will run out all over the oven.

Put in bottom of pan 1/2 cup of the pecans
Place 16 balls of dough on top of the nuts
Sprinkle the dry pudding over the balls
Melt the stick of butter and brown sugar together and pour over the nuts, dough, and mix.
Sprinkle with the remaining nuts

Put into oven overnight. (DO NOT HAVE OVEN WARM. If you have pilot light you might want it to set inside of cabinet.) DO NOT COVER. Leave pan in the oven overnight!

The NEXT MORNING....about 30 minutes before you want to eat it (and if you want it served warm).....turn your oven to 325, bake 30 mins., do not preheat the oven. DO NOT remove the bundt pan and rolls from oven while it is pre-heating!! Leave the pan in the oven and just turn it on to 325 degrees. Bake for the 30 minutes.

Let set about 5 mins, before turning over onto a plate.

This is delicious and so quick and easy to make!!

SO why would it be that when I wear lipstick....and/or my fingernails are longer....I "feel more like a woman"?????

SO weird I think but it seems to be true. Now can someone explain that to me? When I asked my husband (a man of course..haha) if the lipsticked lips or long nails makes him think of me as more of a woman he got that "grin" on his face and said "well..whenever you wear lipstick your lips look sooooooooo voluptuous!" He said he could give or take longer nails.

Any other opinions out there from anyone women or men?? hahah

Current Mood: CONFUSED :(

WHY is it that my Mustek 4.0 mp digital camera seems to take worse pictures than my Samsung 3.1 mp camera? It should be the other way around but the Samsung is far better than the Mustek! The Mustek is great for recording digital movies so that is about all we use it for now. However, I tried to use it this morning to take some pictures of my caramel rolls to post here instead of getting the Samsung cause Keith was still sleeping and I did not want to disturb him (where my Samsung was).

Anyway..the pictures look like CRAP! BLURRY....really really poor quality. I have tried different settings and all the pics turn out this way. The movies however are great.

Any thoughts anyone out there in electronic land??

Current Mood: HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!

Smelling my caramel rolls that just came out of the oven. My crockpot Italian dish is starting to cook. I am like Pavlov's dog to be sure! I think my mouth waters anytime I smell food! Isn't that weird?

Why is it I cannot seem to get my butt up and stay up to get my work done? I struggle with it so much these days.

Why can't I make a good nice moist loaf of banana nut bread here in Colorado?? Or cookies! EVERYTHING seems to be so dry. I know I know...our climate. BUT COME ON....the cookies and bread should be moist for a few days shouldn't they? I have to resort to putting in slices of bread in a closed container to keep my cookies even remotely moist. My bread...well...I have to make MINI loaves. That works pretty well but the banana bread is nothing like it used to taste.

THOUGHT: Has my taste for banana bread changed over time? I don't think so. I can still get great tasting MOIST banana muffins different places. I guess I need to start buying them then huh?
Current Mood: Happy but a bit tired ;)

Have found some interesting blogs lately via my dad's MODBLOG. Interesting how the BLOG world has come to pass and you can get to know so many people from all over the world. I had a 16 year old from INDIA post to my other blog about my son Noah. I would not think that would appeal much to him but he wrote a very touching comment there. He seemed a lot older and wiser than his 16 years to be sure!

Anyway...I am still debating the popcorn. You KNOW what will happen. I may as well order it already as I will end up doing that. SO why am I dragging it out? hahahaha

It is 51 degrees. I have had a HUGE urge to start some art/craft projects again. I know when I get this urge I need to go with it and JUST DO IT (as the Nike commercial says). Time however is tough. Seems there is never enough of it or we don't always manage it to the best of our abilities? haha

I am skimming the Quantum Physics books.

Never watched any movies at all yesterday. In fact NO television. I rarely do these days as again TIME is a factor.

Thought for the day:

If everyone really believed we were each part of the other do you think we would treat each other better and differently?
