This is about how I feel! SO exhausted. You know you are out of shape when you do work around your house for 1 day....and it takes you 5 days to recover! We finished the bathroom floor yesterday which actually turned out pretty easy to do! The trim is another story and what we picked out we don't like as it is not working out. SO we will be going back to pick out another trim maybe tomorrow. I finished putting caulking/grout in the cracks in the kitchen tile floor. Lots of bending and stooping. I washed all the cabinetry in the kitchen off....washed the floor on my hands and knees and then MOPPED it......washed the kitchen walls even. Looks so very nice now even if I don't get to paint it yet. We DID pick out some colors of paint though. It will look marvelous! Already does! It is just amazing what some simple fairly quick fixes like that can do to a home. Course today when we got up we could barely move. I mean I can barely muster up enough leg muscle strength to close the leg on the recliner!!! Now THAT IS BAD! So...we are trying to get the rest of the living room organized and stuff put away. Almost done with that. Then it is cleaning time big time again in here! I know now once this all gets done...I will become obssesssive about keeping it clean. I mean it takes much less time to keep it clean and keep the cleaning up each week than to let it go and have to go through this again!
So....anyway......more to do if I can get out of this chair. I sure could take a nap about now. I need some Tylenol!!!!!!!!!

So I cannot believe all we are accomplishing today. Little by little things are getting done in the house. Our house is finally starting to look more like a HOUSE again...no...a HOME! YEAH!
We got the bathroom floor laid. I got to checking out the roll of so-called linoleum....and realized it was not linoleum but vinyl flooring instead. That is fine....and it looks nice....just realized there was NO way it could be linoleum as it was a lot thinner and more pliable, etc. Hopefully it will hold up well and not crack or break through. I guess if it does we can replace it again. Sure looks so nice and so much better than the old 1980s linoleum that was in the bathroom.
I finished filling in the cracks in the kitchen floor grout today...wow...talk about a major improvement and a much cheaper investment and redo than replacing the entire floor again. This floor is only 2 years old and looks nice still and I hated to redo the floor already if it was not really needed. Some of the tiles had moved so I just filled in the gaps with matching grout...looks super nice!
So those are 2 more things to cross of my list.
I am also thinking instead of repainting all my kitchen cabinets....just painting the base again as that is the most needed areas...and then putting some kind of a covering over the cabinets and a trim around that...will make the cabinets look a lot nicer and fancier and will allow me to NOT have to repaint all of them again or even take them down off the cabinets perhaps. WOW...that would be a big time saver and money saver if I can do it!
Then it is repainting the other bath...and our kitchen...and hallway. I would also like to redo our bedroom and move the furniture in there around if we can. Of course we still have some boxes to sort and move around and stuff to continue taking to the locker. I am not too worried anymore...if we don't get it all completely done before Thanksgiving at least it will be a lot nicer and almost done...the areas where most people will be (if we even had any visitors) will be redone and finished. Shoot...I may even be ready to decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving next weekend after all.
Anyway...sun shining but windy again today. Has actually warmed up a tad...about 53 degrees!

Modblog is down AGAIN! Just got it back up and running correctly after a long month or two and it went down again! Cold here...only 19 degrees this morning....brrrr!
Otherwise I never thought I would see my kitchen counter or table FREE from stuff and clutter again till I finally accomplished it last night! WOW...I almost don't recognize the place! Still a ways to go but we are making progress. I feel the after effects from all the housework last night...which is said to say...as apparently I must really be out of shape to get SORE over doing the little things I did last night. Anyway...more to do today and the rest of the week.
Finally had to turn the furnace on last night. It was super cold and a bit chilly in here...figured I would turn it on to take the edge off. During the day it warms up enough we don't really need the heat much if at all.
Cherry Creek Mall is to have a fabulous decorative display for Christmas where they have these giant snowglobes with scenes inside (larger than life) from the movie The Chronicals of Narnia! AND at the end you can actually walk through a huge wardrobe and they have it snowing....and it is just like you stepped through into the world of Narnia!!!!!!! It opened yesterday and we were going to go but figured it might be a bit much for Noah to handle..which ended up being correct. SO we will go next Wed. BEFORE Thanksgiving and it should be very slow! I will take pics to post!
Better get back to work for now.
