we have gotten a lot of snow......with more on the way tomorrow!

I love winter...I love snow....we have been getting a lot lately and more will be following soon! We were on a level 3 snow emergency until yesterday so even if we wanted to go anywhere we would not have been able to. Today we are down to a level 1...just in time to stock up on a few more supplies and run a few errands. Here is some pics of the snow we have now......after shoveling out.

Wow - you do have a lot of snow, but I must say, we have more. Most of our mailboxes are buried, with just the door and top of the box visible. Ours got knocked by a plow yesterday, so the top is actually off kilter, although it's still attached. All the drifts on the sides of driveways are a minimum of 4ft tall .. it gets to be a pain to throw the snow up tht high.

What do you mean about level 3 emergency? We don't have levels of snow emergency, we just have the "travel not advised" warning, and of course schools have been closing. We are on a 2 hour delay today, hopefully they will actually get to go as we have a elem. concert to go to tonight, and a dentist appt for ds2 ... but we'll take it as it comes if they do call off school - we are in town, so I'm sure it's much worse in the country with the stiff wind and all the ditches filled to the brim with snow. Makes the wind-blizzards worse.

Hi Marie. Our snow drifts were 3, 4 and 5 feet deep or higher too. My backyard the snow was as high as the fence!

LEVEL 3 snow emergency is when ALL ROADS are closed to all vehicles except emergency personnel. It was really bad up here in Darke County. We are getting another 10 inches today. Will be over 2 feet of snow on the ground then...drifts are worse. SCHOOLS ARE ALREADY CLOSED HERE today.
