This is NOT one of the official lessons from the Ever After art course but one I wanted to do on my own in my own way........the B&W version is just my color photo with a setting changed to black and white....I really love how it turned out but I still might tweak the background

these were not actual lessons from the Ever After art course but the lessons have inspired me to create more characters from Alice in Wonderland. I sketched these out last night and painted them today

lesson taught for Ever After art course.....by Mystele...but I ended up doing my take on it and did not really follow the lesson. I think that was because I sort of did her techniques on the last 2 pieces of artwork I did and I really felt led to do this take on Galadriel from Lord of the Rings as the Lady of Light...since she was known as that and was the fairest of all the elves in the Middle Earth......

More artwork for Ever After art course

This past week I worked on the art lesson taught by Jane Davenport for the Ever After art course I am taking....so we did an exercise sketch and then a couple more....of Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty.....front view and more of a side view. I also did my version my style painting of Snow White..though it feels unfinished..so I may be adding something else to it down the road.

I took some of the elements I have learned so far in the Ever After course and incorporated them into MY version MY style of the Snow Queen......I started with a monochrome undercoating but in shades of blue.......I painted the face, owl and crown but cut them out to glue onto a larger paper in order to create basically a storyboard and tell a story with my painting and of course add LAYERS. I embellished with stencils and texture paste, glitter, outlines and shading and jewels......loved working on this and plan on doing some more fairy tale characters like this. I just wish now I would have done this on canvas! lol

Ever After course Lesson 2 - Beauty and the Beast taught by Andrea Gomoll

I really struggled with this lesson and did not think I wanted to do it in this style but I continued on anyway and I ended up LOVING IT and the final results! Thank you Andrea!
