So....I have pains in my stomach/abdominal area today and I am sure it is because I ate some nuts yesterday. I guess I will have to LIMIT how many I eat in the future as they always seem to do that to me these days.

Floyd actually called last night. I was STUNNED. His friend who now has Power of Attorney had already contacted me to make arrangements to pick up some of FLoyd's things we have. BUT I was stunned Floyd actually called. His fever broke and he is now in the REHAB WING at the hospital where he will be for a few weeks. Not sure where he will go after that but his friend and Social Services are working on it. He will most likely have to go to some type of assisted living place or nursing home or somewhere like that. They have all said he will most likely not be coming back here to live which we already kind of knew about.

Anyway he called to THANK us for all we have done for him so far. He was very appreciative of everything and realized I guess that he would have died if we had not convinced him to go to the hospital this last time he had problems. In fact he said the staff there many times did not even thinnk he would make it then. So.....he is at least slowly getting better from the meningitis now and his hydrocephalus may never improve but he could possibly get a little better but it looks like he won't be able to live on his own ever again.

He does seem thankful to be alive though and he sounded good on the phone. He gave us his new phone number at the hospital so we can stay in touch. I thought that was nice.
SO many storms in our area last night it was unreal. June is notorious for Denver to have some unpredictable storms that include INTENSE lightening, flash floods, hail, intense rain, winds, tornadoes, etc. We had ALL those last night and the flooding was probably the worst it has ever been since I have lived here. SO many areas and roads and HIGHWAYS and intersections were a mess with flooded waters and cars and buses becoming stalled and trapped and then FLOATING down the road in mini rivers. Fire/rescue squads were out RESCUING people from trapped cars. It was unreal. Roads were being closed. Water up to the windows of the cars! Hail all over the place so deep it looked like snow! It was just incredible. I am thankful we could enjoy it all from the comforts of our home and not have to be out in it!

We did keep Daddy updated on the storms as all the messes on the roads affected his drivers.

Today it is still raining and cool..about 45 degrees so far. Super cloudy and I doubt it will clear off much. I LOVE this kind of weather too though so it does not bother me.

I have much work to do and need to get to it.

Later!

Do you ever get sick and tired of feeling TIRED all the time?

SO much to do. Today is Keith's birthday. I ran out and picked up a cake and frozen yogurt this morning. We already had cards and we also got some presents for him. His last present to open is still sitting in the back of my Vue. A new stereo.

Anyway....probably take him to Applebee's for lunch today too. I still have a lot of work to do of course...the saga continues.

Watched the first episode of Lost again last night in case I had missed anything the first time round. Don't think I did. It is a good show though.

This is boring.

MUCH cooler today. I have some chicken in my crockpot BBQing...and making some potato salad next and baked beans. I was going to do my oven fried chicken but if we go to church as normal we won't be home till we need to eat which makes oven fried chicken not a good possibility today.

About 48 degrees now. A bit overcast. BUT I LIKE IT. NICE weather to me. A bit windy too. I LOVE the wind. Keith hates it. I don't understand why. Noah and I love it.

Anyway......I will write more later. More work to do!
