Lee Dong Wook as the Grim Reaper from the Korean drama The Goblin - 2nd portrait attempt using Olga Furman's methods from class

Lee Dong Wook - as the Grim Reaper from The Goblin

well I wanted to try a man for my 2nd attempt at the charcoal portrait using Olga's methods......and really wanted to do Lee Dong Wook from the Korean drama The Goblin..he plays the grim reaper.....and he turned out pretty close ....my white charcoal is pretty bad and tends to scratch the surface more than blend or flow onto it like regular charcoal pencils so not sure why that is the case but I cannot really add white with it it seems or it goes overboard and then won't blend in well. I may have to upgrade. This guy is so yummy and I wanted to catch all his deliciousness...lol.......but I think I am calling this done even though it is not exactly the way I want it.

more Jay Park artwork......

Since I seem to have developed a Jay Park brain lately.....I have been working on some more artwork of him using techniques I am currently studying in an art course I have been taking.

This was the first colored painting I have ever done of Jay Park. I wanted to try a technique using shades of black, grays and go all the way up to whites.....which I still cannot do very well. I then added color to the background. This is very hard for me for some reason.....so I am going to have to keep practicing this to try and improve.

Jay Park

I had done the following sketch of JP some time back with graphite and charcoal but felt it was not that good.......so I then took pics of it with my camera and changed tint settings...I like the color tinted version I think better

I really liked working on this last piece....I basically did a sketch with graphite pencil and added a watercolor crayon base in yellow....followed by staining with red iron oxide.......and then adding the blues.....love how it turned out

my mama and Jay Park

My mama....I always loved this photograph of her so I decided to try sketching it and adding watercolor and graphite/charcoal over the top....and this is how it turned out. I love it.

Jay Park - used some new watercolor crayons here...they are pretty wide-tipped and there is no room for forgiveness of you screw up...I still like how it turned out though

Jay Park - my recent charcoal and pencil sketch

Jay Park is the most natural sensual man I have ever been aware of in my lifetime. He exudes it......in everything he does, and all very naturally. Anyway, this is my recent sketch of him
