Summer of Color 2013 - Week One - Colors Citron Green and Turquoise
Well week one of Summer of Color used the color prompts CITRON GREEN and TURQUOISE....I decided to make a small book this year to do all my prompts in so I would have something that would hold all my artwork and would be easy to look at. The front was very summery...and I did the back with fireflies and then realized I had actually used the colors in our week one on the back of the book..but I still went ahead and did a 2-page spread inside for my first week as well. I really enjoy this project and it is my 2nd year participating. If you would like to participate...check out the link on my sidebar!

I love your idea to create a little summer of color book! The pictures are so cute.
Hi, Melinda :). First of all, I'm loving your blog banner, I felt so welcome into your 'garden' of creativity :). Your paintings are gorgeous!!.
This is a wonderful collection... they were great colours to work with and I look forward to seeing what else you create over the Summer of Colour...xx
What a fabulous idea to have the spreads all contained in one book. The cover and the first spread are both stunning. Great work. :)
Wow, what beautiful work. I love the image you chose inside and the beautiful swirls - gorgeous! I also love the little fireflies!
Beautiful work and a wonderful idea

Such a creative idea to make a book for this challenge! I love all of the pages that you made so far! Just beautiful!!!!
Both wonderful...love the shape of the book...x
Oh, I LOVE your idea of making this book! I remember seeing the cover of it just before we began and it really made me smile, thank you. So excited to see the book progress, this page (and that gorgeous image!) is just lovely, xoxo
I like the header. And yes, the dessert you made was better the next day and was also a lot colder. I'll probably have some for a snack tonight.
I love your idea for the book, and the pages you've done so far. The shape of it really lends itself to uniques spreads!
